I have a new recipe for you because I FINALLY got a blender! So this is a recipe for a GREEN SMOOTHIE. Yes, it probably looks gross but it tastes sooo good :)
GREEN SMOOTHIE
Serves 1-2
2 mangos*
2 oranges*
1-2 apples*
1-2 cups of water (depending on how thick you like it)
2 large handfuls of spinach* (or any other dark leafy green)
1. Add all the fruit and water to blender.
2. Add greens.
3. Blend well.
If you add enough fruit it tastes just like a normal smoothie but with added goodness! You can try it with any fruit and initially start with 60% fruit 40% dark leafy greens and then you can slowly increase the greens as you get used to them.
*NOTES: Use organic if possible

Yay! I'm so glad you're back =)... I've been secretly waiting haha...
ReplyDeleteI completely understand where you're coming from! I either eat like a pig or just skip heaps of meals... yeah... it's bad... but you just made me think about how that could affect my body!!
I'm infamous for napping 2+ hours lol most people call it a 'sleep', but anyway. I never realised my eating habits could be affecting this...
For the past few weeks I've been so inspired by Breakfast Flickr-ers that I've decided to try a 50 day breakfast project haha (starting tomorrow) because it will then end on 31st Dec.. I also have OCD ROFL...
Anyway, I'm so glad you're back! I'm just a secret little fan over here!

Hey Sheron!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that I've got at least one fan out there :P
I'm glad I've raised your awareness about eating, I think people don't realise how fundamental healthy eating is and how much processed/junk foods affect the body!
Let me know how your breakfast project goes and if you find any great recipes! :D
